A respected Seattle builder constructed an inviting outdoor entertaining area, but the client needed some privacy from the neighbors. To accommodate this request, we constructed 1-1/2" thick exterior western red cedar shutters which complemented the outdoor area.
What if my windows don't have molding or trim?
We just completed a project where the windows were very plain without any trim. The client wanted traditional small louver shutters but was concerned about the lack of trim around the windows. We came up with a design to complement their interior that included trim and a sill for each window. The results were marvelous.
Hotel Monaco chose Newport Custom Shutters to shutter their hotel. After a client consultation, we decided it would be a great idea to replace the existing small louvered shutters with a larger more contemporary louver size to highlight the spectacular city views of downtown Seattle. The shutters enhance the modern chic vibe of the recently redesigned hotel. It was a pleasure to be a part of this project. Please view the photos below!
Our latest project was just completed for a Cape Cod style home on Bainbridge Island. We crafted exterior shutters with a flat panel and beaded stiles. Shutters were made out of weather resistant Western red cedar, painted a custom color, and included copper capping. These shutters were only crafted after consulting with the client and making some samples to ensure we had the design exactly as the owner's had envisioned. Below are the before and after photos.
